Our First American Signing: Love ' N ' Vegas and a BIG Giveaway :D

Hey Everyone,

If you follow the blog, you know that together with my co-blogger Azahara, we came back for our first American signing just under a month ago. The one and only Love ' N ' Vegas 2017. As you can imagine, we were super excited. For one, we were meeting some of our favorite authors for the very first time. And come on, people. It's VEGAS!!! Of course, the whole trip was a huge adventure. We were in Las Vegas for 10 days and we did so many things that I am struggling to remember all the crazy things we did. I am hoping you would want to hear all about it, because you won't be able to escape :D

I have to say, the craziest thing we did was to go on the Voodoo Zip Line at the Rio Hotel. I don't think I will ever repeat it, but it was definitely an experience :D I mean zip lining from the 51st floor towards the next building and back in a seat without handles and only with a belt around your middle is not exactly my idea of fun but now I can tick it off on my bucket list :D And the view from up there was simply spectacular.

I can honestly say that Las Vegas is definitely a place everyone should visit at least ones. From the incredible hotels, to the number of shows and possibilities for all kinds of fun, it is a destination worth putting on your bucket list. Think about it. You can be in Paris, Rome, New York, Venice or even ancient Egypt all at the same time. You just have to visit the different hotels to experience the beauty of the different corners of the world. And the fun doesn't stop there ;)

The Madame Tussaud's museum was definitely fun even if it was somewhat small. But where else can I take a picture with Brad or Channing :D But for me, the most intriguing part of Las Vegas weren't the hotels or museums (even though they are magnificent and the historical facts you can learn are definitely intriguing). For me, the biggest treasure of Las Vegas are actually the shows. There is something for every taste.

You can go to a concert and watch live some of your favorite singers, you can go to a comedy show and laugh until there are tears in your eyes. Of course if you are in the mood for something more Vegas like, there are multiple variate and burlesque shows to choose from. And if you are not in the mood for any of those, you can definitely enjoy a Cirque Du Solei program that will leave you breathless with the beauty it presents. And if by any chance (OK, let's not kid ourselves, this is a must), you are in the mood for some fun with your girlfriends, be sure to check Magic Mike LIVE. I can guarantee you won't regret that. It will be everything you expect it to be and so much more. I haven't had that much fun in a really long time. And it doesn't hurt that those guys are gorgeous and definitely know how to more ;)

Apart from all the fun I had, Azahara and I also made some new friends. Marie-Josee, Rebecca and Christine are three amazing ladies that I hope I will see again soon. We had so much fun with them, discussing books, sharing stories and sight seeing that I will do my best to keep in touch with them. And hopefully, see them at a signing next year or something of the sort ;) I know I am seeing Marie-Josee for sure at #RARE London 2019 which is definitely going to be fun. And now if I can manage to convince Rebecca and Christine to come to Rome, it will be great :D

But I think I am seriously veering off topic :D I am supposed to talk about Love ' N ' Vegas :D And I have to say, I definitely enjoyed myself. It was different from the signings I've been before, but that doesn't mean that it was less fun :) But it was definitely crazy :D I don't think I've ever run that much at a signing ;) But I did manage to meet everyone on my must see list, which is always great :D

My first stop, was the lovely Freya Barker. If you haven't read her books, they are simply a must. She is incredible in writing heartfelt romances that can tear your heart to pieces and after that little by little, put it back together. I remember when I first met her two years ago. It was at another signing and I reviewed one of her books for the blog. I was devoted fan after that book. It was just impossible not to fall in love with the characters and Freya's writing style. since then I've read pretty much everything she's published and I got my hands on few signed books to add to my collection. I still have couple of more to to add so I have each and every one but I will wait for that until next year when she visits UK (because transporting a huge amount of books over the Atlantic is definitely a pain :D)

I also had the chance to meet the amazing Melanie Harlow. She's been one of my favorite authors for years and it was like a dream come true to finally meet her in person. Of course that meant buying every book she's ever published (on that note, she might hate me after having to sign 10-11 books for me :D ). But considering it is nearly impossible to see her in Europe, I didn't have any other choice. I do hope she visits soon though. I would love the chance to meet her again. And if she can bring Dima with her, even better. I had a blast talking with both of them while Melanie was signing all my books. As you can imagine, it took awhile :D

Of course I couldn't miss the opportunity to pass by and say hi to Aurora Rose Reynolds. I love her books and even though I am going to see in London in just a few months, there was no way I was missing taking a picture with her :) (and buying some books :D). She was also one of our Book Oscar winners for last year, so I was planning to give her her Oscar ornament but me being me, I misplaced it somewhere. Hopefully, I will find it before London ;) And who knows, she might have to receive another one by then :D

But I must say, I think I was most excited to meet Jasinda and Jack Wilder. Those two are just amazing. So nice and down to earth. I remember when I first read Falling Into You. It shredded me to pieces. And I think that might have been the first book that made me ugly cry. But it was so worth it. and it is still one of my favorite books. So, of course, I couldn't miss the opportunity to get myself a signed copy of it. I mean, I am a bookworm with the chance to get a signed copy of one of her favorite books. No way missing that :D

Of course there were many more authors that I loved meeting. some of them new faces, some of them I've met before. But I highlight for me was meeting the amazing Corinne Michaels. I couldn't of course get all the books I wanted signed by her but thankfully, she is coming to Rome so I am safe :D I had the chance to spent couple of minutes talking with her about books, the blog and many more things and I can honestly say that she is incredible. I can't wait to see her again next summer <3

Here are some more pictures from the signing with Cambria Hebert, Adriana Locke, Brooke Blaine and of course Rachel Van Dyken :) Unfortunately, I didn't manage to get many more pictures. But I did manage to talk a little bit with Meghan March and tell her that the Mount Trilogy is an incredible series and one of my favorite reads in a really long time <3

Of course, I've met many more amazing authors during the signing but unfortunately, I can't post about all of them on this post. So to everyone who is not on this post, I would like to say that you all have a special place in my heart and the memories will stay with me forever :) Hope to see you soon again.

Excerpt from Rough Night:

“You taste better than any pie, my Charlie,” Ian whispered against her lips. His hands tightened on her and she felt one of those big palms stroke her thigh. “Why don’t you straddle me and let’s see what happens.”

She knew what would happen. She placed the tray of treats on the table beside them and gingerly shifted, twisting so she straddled her Master’s lap. Yes, there it was. His cock was right against her pussy. All she had to do was…

Ian groaned as she rolled her pelvis. “That’s right, baby. Now give me some of that sweet, sweet lemony goodness. Ride me and feed me. That’s what I want. Let me watch you come.”

“And if I can make you come?” It was a fun little game. She would try to see if she could get that big dick of his to go off before she did.

“Then I’ll walk around for the rest of the night a bit on the uncomfortable side,” he replied, his hands finding her hips. He shifted and she found herself with her clitoris in the perfect position. “But that’s not going to happen. I know exactly how to make you moan, Charlie baby.”

She felt her phone vibrate. Charlie winced. “It’s another text.”

He pumped his hips up against hers. “Answer it. If it’s anyone except Malone telling us one of the children is missing, I’m texting them a dick pic and asking them to leave us alone. Let’s see if you can text while I do this.”

His erection slid over the perfect place and Charlie could feel the orgasm starting to build. How could he still do this to her? All he had to do was start touching her, using that deep Dom voice on her, and her whole body was ready to comply to his any and every whim.

Did she have to answer? It probably wasn’t anything important. Was anything in the world as important as the way this man made her feel?

“Give me a taste of that tart, baby. Or better yet, pull those pretty nipples out and let me taste them. Let me lick and suck and bite on those sweet nipples.”

Her vision was going soft as he hauled her close.

And her phone vibrated again.

“Ian,” she started.

“Do what you need to,” he replied as he licked her collarbone. “I’ll do what I have to.”

She was going to kill whoever was texting her. It was probably Malone, trying to figure out where the damn marshmallows were.

She bit back a groan and reached for her phone. It better be so good because she was getting close, and the minute Ian started sucking on her breasts she wouldn’t be able to hold…

Do you have a fire extinguisher?

“What?” Charlie shifted, trying to get a better grip on the phone.

And the chair under Ian kind of exploded.

Charlie hit the floor, her knees knocking on the tile. Ian had gone backward but he’d managed to twist his body so he landed on his shoulder instead of knocking the back of his head against the windowsill.

Panic flooded Charlie’s veins. She scrambled to find her phone. “Ian?”

“I’m fine,” he groaned. “Call him. Damn it. Can’t we have one fucking night out without the world coming to an end? Ah, yeah, this is going to hurt.”

Had he thrown out his back again? She couldn’t stop and find out. Sarah Stevens was here somewhere and she was a nurse. Surely she could help.

Charlie grabbed the phone from the midst of the now fallen lemon tarts. The tray had turned over, but there were still several that had landed on the table. She would have to shove those in her purse if they were about to flee home. With shaking fingers she dialed the number for Michael.

“Hey, Charlotte, I think I got the fire out. Boomer stopped, dropped, and rolled on it. That did the trick. The girls thought it was hilarious, but we’ve got another problem now,” Michael was saying.

“There was a fire?” She practically screamed the question.

“Tell Boomer to sit on it,” Ian said from the floor. “Put him on speaker.”

She didn’t need his sarcasm, but he had the right to listen in. She clicked to go to speaker. “Where was the fire, Michael?”

“Well, you see when I told the girls we could have a campout in the living room, I kind of thought we would build a fort made out of sheets, you know what I’m talking about,” Michael continued, his Texas drawl slow and steady. “Damn, Charlotte. I didn’t think the girls would take it so literally.”

Her girls took everything literally. “The girls tried to start a fire? In my living room?”

“It was minor,” Michael promised. “Mostly because they couldn’t take apart the furniture to burn. That was their plan. Apparently Ian taught them how to use whatever’s around to stay warm in case they find themselves out in the woods at night. I saved the sofa, but they did manage to get that wicker basket of yours to burn. Kala said she had to use it because she couldn’t get to the hatchet.”

Charlie turned to her husband. “Why would our daughters know how to use a hatchet?”

He was a nice shade of pale and his shoulder seemed weird. “You told me to teach them some life skills.”

She was going to kill everyone.

Only, that’s not what happens. Not the first time I see him after the party. Or the next time. Or the time after that. And as much as I try to stop it, my two worlds are crashing into each other, putting my job and my reputation at risk.

Excerpt:

I set down my champagne flute, untouched, and waited, my arms folded across my chest.

But what he said next surprised me. “What kind of life do you envision for yourself? What’s your dream future?” Instead of immediately hounding me about my utter disrespect for the sanctity of marriage, he wanted to listen.

This...was new.

I wasn’t prepared, which sort of pissed me off. Not only because it occurred to me that I could have misjudged Nathan Sinclair, but also because I didn’t exactly have a checklist of plans for myself. I just had things I liked doing that I wanted to continue doing, uninterrupted.

“What is it I want from my life?” I repeated back to him, buying time to think about it.

And then when I did think about it I realized I didn’t need the time. I knew exactly what I wanted. “My own stuff, my own space, steady kinky sex in different locations. Happy? I’m leaving.” I spun on my five-inch heels and walked toward the exit. Irritated.

I didn’t know why I was so worked up, maybe because the whole topic was a sore spot. Maybe because even though he hadn’t given the speech yet, I knew it was coming eventually. I didn’t fit into the traditional world with my viewpoints about happily-ever-afters. I already knew that.

Or, maybe I was worked up because people rarely believed it about me when I told them. They always thought that I was lying to them or lying to myself, but I really didn’t want what society believed I should want in the way they thought I should want it, and I didn’t want to have to argue about it with Nate, because I did truly like him. And I didn’t want to have this conflict. But liking him didn’t mean I wanted to give up who I was just to make him happy.

Instead of talking it to death and arguing my side, it was easier just to go. Get it over with. I could cut the ties now before I liked him even more. Before the string didn’t just tug me back from the clouds, but let all the air out of me, too.

I rushed out into the lobby, assuming he’d let me go, but he followed. And really, that’s what I probably should have expected. He’d already proven he was the kind of guy that chased. Shoe or not, Nate Charming liked his fairytale kink.

And I’d just performed the most cliché move of all for a sexed-up Cinderella—I’d run from the freaking ball.

About the Author:

USA Today and New York Times Bestselling Author Laurelin Paige is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. My Review:

Damn! This was good. It was sinful, dirty, filthy and scorching HOT!

I love Laurelin Paige books so it is not a surprise that I jumped at the opportunity to get my hands on it. I was familiar with the characters from previous books, so I was definitely intrigued to read their story. And Nathan and Trish definitely delivered on everything the title promised.

Everything between Trish and Nathen starts as a secret, taboo, a one night stand. But with every moment spent together things change little by little. Trish has scars from her past that prevent her from really giving herself to Nathen body and soul. But Nathen is determined and manages to enter through the cracks in the wall arpund her heart. And manages to show her that he is different than other man. That he can give her the freedom she desires and the scorching encounters in bed she needs.

There is only one thing that would've made this story better for me and that is to have more background story on both characters. But as this is a short story, it is quite understandable. I do need more of Nathen and Trish 😉 There are also some sneak peaks of other characters which is definitely a bonus :D

As a whole, this is a short and scorching hot story that every fan of the Fixed series and the Dirty Filthy Series simply must read. so don't waste your time and pre-order your copy asap. as for me I can't wait to get my next fix of the Dirty Filthy series as soon as possible :D

My Review:
This is my first Laura Carter book and in the beginning I wasn't sure whether I am up for reading it as I wasn't in the mood for a romantic comedy. But a friend of mine raved about it so much that I decided to check it out. And I am so happy I did. And yes, this is a romantic comedy but it is also so much more than that. It is a story of strength, survival, determination and a beautiful romantic love that will capture your heart and will stay in it forever.

Drew and Becky are two great characters. The story is mainly told through Drew's POV (which in my opinion is great) which helps to get to know him better. But there are still enough glimpses of Becky that will help you understand the reasoning behind her actions and the nightmare she had to live through. For me, Becky is an incredibly strong character. She survived, practically being neglected by her mother, the abuse of a person she thought would be her saviour. Her inner strength and beauty, her smart and funny personality, practically make her irresistible. So it is not a big surprise that Drew falls for her head over hills :D

Drew is also a character that will catch your heart nearly from the start. He is a workaholic and to be honest kind of a manw*ore. And definitely a rude and insufferable a**hole. Or at least, that's the first impression he leaves. But once you get to know him, you discover that there is much more under his protective shell. Whereas, he hasn't suffered a trauma that made him shut down the world, his difficult childhood, made him lock his heart and completely focus on his work. Or at least that's true until he meets Becky. She finds the cracks in his protective walls and shows him how to open up and look at the world with brighter eyes. At the same time, Drew helps Becky heal her bruised heart and shows her that all her dreams can come true. And that there are people in this world that will stand beside you and fight together with you when you need it, simply because they love you.

As I already mentioned, for me this is a great story. It took me a while to really get into the story but once I did, I was a goner :) So be sure to pick your copy and meet Becky and Drew asap. I can guarantee you won't regret it. As for me, I can't wait for the next book in the series. I am sure it will be amazing <3

Constant by Rachel Higginson: Review

CONSTANT by Rachel Higginson IS LIVE!

Fifteen years ago I met Sayer Wesley. I fell in love with him. I promised I would never leave him. I swore nothing could break us apart.

Five years ago I broke my promise. I ran away. I took the one secret that could destroy us both and disappeared.

Five days ago I thought I saw him.

I knew it was impossible. Sayer was locked away, serving a deserved sentence in federal prison. He couldn’t find me.
He wouldn’t find me. I was too good at hiding. Too good at surviving.
Because if Sayer ever found me, there would be hell to pay for a plethora of sins. The worst of which, he didn’t even know about.

Five hours ago, I told myself I was crazy.

Five minutes ago, I saw him again.

Five seconds ago, I was too late.

REVIEW
Wow! This was such a rollercoaster story!
At the beginning I struggled a little bit to fully immerse myself in the story, but after a few chapters, I couldn’t stop reading it!

Constant is the love story between Caroline and Sayer. They both belong to the Russian Mafia, if we  can call it so, they are outlaws, and it was such an adrenalin to read about their lives, both past and present ones.
One thing that was conveyed perfectly in the story was the feeling of uncertainty linked to their criminal lives, not being able to trust many people, always having to look at their backs, always being scared of their past catching up with them.

The book was told only from the point of view of Caroline, so we actually follow her life from her childhood, thanks to flashbacks, to her adulthood. I felt like I got to know her really well in the span of the book, but I hope there will be some chapters written from Sayer’s point of view in the second book, to give a wider insight of the story.
Caroline was for sure the main focus of the first book, so sometimes the love story ended up in the background, but I didn't feel like something was amiss, thanks to the fact that there will be a second book about the same couple.

I loved the relationship between Caroline and Sayer in the present, so much questions and so little answers (yeah, I might be a masochist :P). This feeling of uncertainty and mystery was so captivating, it made me turn every page with my breath caught in my throat, not knowing what was going to happen.

For sure the ending made me want to message Rachel Higginson and ask her to send me "Consequence" stat. I mean, come on, that cliffhanger! I can't wait for February 27, 2018 when it will be released!

Excerpt:

Every now and then, Sam would shoot me a sympathetic look, knowing that I had no idea what they were talking about, but in truth, their company was a welcome break. Between what the woman in the shop had said and the lady on the plane’s insinuation, my mind was going a mile a minute and I was beginning to look at Sam in a way I definitely shouldn’t be.

Okay, so, yeah, he was sexy. That was a no-brainer.

I shot him a furtive glance, taking in the corded muscles of his forearms and the lock of dark hair that constantly flopped onto his forehead. And sure, he was sweet and attentive. He looked after me and made sure I always had a fresh drink and that I wasn’t cold or hot. He held the door for me and pulled out my chair when we went to restaurants. Hell, he’d been looking forward to this trip for months and he’d sacrificed an entire day just to make sure I got here safe and didn’t spend my time sulking.

Still, that didn’t mean he had feelings for me. He hadn’t argued when I’d mentioned us being like brother and sister or anything.

No, this whole line of thinking was ludicrous. Sam was a good friend. That was all…wasn’t it?

After all, Trevor had loved me once and he never did any of that.

Admittedly, that wasn’t the best example, but it proved my point all the same. In Sam’s shoes, Trevor never would have missed the chance to hit the slopes with his friends. He hadn’t even skipped the business trip that fell on my twenty-fifth birthday years back.

But Sam was there, my brain supplied helpfully.

Again, not an indication that he had feelings for me. People were just different. Sam was one of the good ones. And if he liked me surely I’d have known by now. He’d have told me or…something.

“Is that your phone?” Sam turned to me and I blinked, only realizing that I’d been so encompassed in my own thoughts that I’d totally zoned out.

“What?” I asked, confused.

“Don’t you hear that vibrating noise? I think it’s your phone.”

I listened hard and then heard the low, gentle hum he was talking about.

“Yep, probably you-know-who again.” I sighed, but fished the phone from my tiny handbag all the same on the off chance it was a family member with an emergency.

It wasn’t Trevor, though. He had called—I had seven new missed messages from him since I’d left for the airport, but I also had three missed calls from my friend Deanna. I hadn’t spoken to her in more than two weeks because she’d been away on a long-awaited safari, but now more than ever I really needed to hear her voice.

My Review:
The Roommates series by Kendall Ryan is one of my favorite as the stories are somewhat short, fun and romantic. And The Bed Mate is not an exception. It is practically a friends-to-lovers kind of Christmas story :D So definitely a great read for the holidays ;)

Sam and Maggie are  two well developed and intriguing characters. Sam is the extreme loving, sinfully hot and fun kind of guy he will do anything for his best friend. Maggie is practically his opposite. She is cautious and careful and to be honest, stuck in a dead end relationship. But as they say, opposites attract. So when things get an unexpected turn, and Maggie ends up sharing a room with Sam in a romantic ski lodge after her not so amicable break-up, the feelings between them finally unfold :)

As a whole, this is a sweet and romantic short story. The perfect fit for the holiday season. So if you are looking for something to put you into that romantic festive mood, you should definitely check this one out ;) As for me, I can't wait to see what's next by the lovely Kendall Ryan :)
