My Review:
I was hooked with this series from the very first book and I hove to say that I've loved the previous two. And I've been dying to get my hands on this one. I just knew that Zeke and Lurlene's story will be intriguing and a page turner. And I was for sure not disappointed. With every single page I was just sucked in deeper and deeper.
The story repeats some of the scenes from the other books but it was definitely interesting to see them through a different POV. And getting to know Lurlene and Zeke better, was definitely great. I have to say that I was a little bit surprised by Zeke's history and the reasons behind his behaviour. I was definitely thrown for a loop there but I was also heartbroken. I think from the three brothers he is the one with the most heartbreaking past. Or at least it is between Slate and Zeke.
It was quite interesting seeing how Zeke helps Lurlene to get out of her shell and at the same time, she's helping him to overcome his demons. Even if he doesn't realize it most of the time. And in a way they just fit perfectly together :) The only thing that I didn't fancy that much was the ending. Don't get me wrong. It was good and I loved the HEA part but it felt kind of rushed. I would've loved it if it was a little bit more extensive.
So, as a whole, I quite enjoyed the book. And I definitely recommend it. It is a somewhat short read and a great one if you are looking for a romantic and heartbreaking story with just a pinch of hotness ;) And even though it is a part of a series, it can be still read as a standalone :) I am hoping that I will get my hands on Token's book (Lurlene's brother) soon. I am sure that would be another great read :)
