One Last Sin – Release Date – March 23, 2015

Sinclair Breckenridge’s POV:

“I’m in the business of boundaries and limits. I’m aware of what mine are and how far I’m willing to go to get my job accomplished. It can include lying and sometimes stealing.” I wait a moment for driving the last nail into the coffin. “And perhaps the occasional killing.”
“How do you feel when you do those things?”

“Powerful.” I purposely choose that word because it’s the one she used to describe how she felt when she brought Duff to his knees. I want her to see just how similar we are.

She watches out the window for a minute before speaking again. “Do you like the way it feels?”

I can’t lie. I get a high from it. “Very much.”

Another minute passes. “Okay.”

What? “Just … okay?”

“Would you like me to be horrified?” she asks. “I can do that if it would make you feel better or improve your opinion of me.”

She’s no fucking Pollyanna. So I guess there’s no reason for her to pretend to be. “No. Okay works for me.”

I’m not sure if I should be disturbed by her lack of appall. It feels like a double standard to be shocked by an absence of dismay.

My God, has the pot met the kettle? “I wish I could get inside your head.”

“No, you don’t,” she says. “My mind is a dark place to be.”

I think I may have met the perfect woman. In her eyes, I’m not a monster at all.

Georgia resides in rural Mississippi with her wonderful husband, Jeff, and their two beautiful daughters. She spent fourteen years as a labor and delivery nurse before she decided to pursue her dream of becoming an author and hasn’t looked back yet.

When she’s not writing, she’s thinking about writing. When she’s being domestic, she’s listening to her iPod and visualizing scenes for her current work in progress. Every story coming from her always has a song to inspire it.

I have to confess that this is the first book I read by Georgia Cates. I know that everyone's been raving about The Pain Series but somehow I never managed to read it. So I decided that this new series is the perfect way to be introduced to this new to me author. And WOW!!! What an introduction that was. I was captivated by this book from the first few pages. With every single word I was more and more intrigued and was getting deeper and deeper into the story.

Bleu and Sin are such an amazing characters that I couldn't stop myself from loving them and being invested in their feelings and faiths. Their story is in a way romantic, heartbreaking and just simply said HOT. But on the other side, it is also dangerous, somewhat mysterious and with a touch of criminal (ok, not only a touch ;) ). I definitely enjoyed how against all odds they fell for each other and that changed them. In a way, it made them more vulnerable (especially towards each other) but it also made them stronger. Because together, they can definitely conquer every obstacle.

The story provides quite a few twists and turns and I am sure that the next two parts will only add to that count. As a whole the book is written incredibly good. There aren't any slow or monotonous parts. There isn't even a moment where you can say "Ok. I can leave the book now and continue later." In my case, with every single page I read, I just wanted to read more, and more, and more. The characters in themselves are very well developed and it was quite easy for me to get attached to them. They felt real, even though if they existed in real life, they would be quite far from my everyday experience.
In a few words, the story is amazing. It is captivating, intriguing, romantic in a way, and danger creeps around every corner. The suspense was haunting me every single minute while I was reading. And I have to say that now my curiosity is killing me to find out what will happen next :) I definitely recommend this book to everyone ho loves somewhat twisted romantic stories with a pinch of danger and suspense for taste :) I can guarantee that you won't regret reading the book. I for one, can't wait until the next part comes out :)
